Helton is the four-time CMA Award-winning and ACM Award-winning host of Westwood One's CMT's Country Countdown USA. Prior to R&R, his radio career included air talent and programming stops in Denver, Chicago and Los Angeles. Helton serves on the Board of Directors for the Country Music Association, and has served as President and Chairman of the CMA. He is also a Board member of the Country Music Hall of Fame And Museum, and in 2006 was inducted into the Country DJ Hall of Fame.
