Services were held today (5/23) in Hendersonville, TN for Savannah Schmidt, daughter of keyboard player Joey Schmidt (Alan Jackson, Josh Turner) and Schmidt Relations Pres./CEO Jessie Schmidt. Savannah died unexpectedly Thursday (5/19) at age 21 (CAT 5/20). Donations can be made to The Sparkle Effect at Beech High School (1010 Ralph Hollow Rd., Goodlettsville, TN, 37072) in Schmidt's honor. The Sparkle Effect is a nonprofit organization that brings together students with and without disabilities for cheerleading and dance. Schmidt's obituary can be read here.
