Chronicle: Guitarist/producer/songwriter Randy Scruggs died yesterday (4/17) at age 64 following an illness. Scruggs, son of the late Earl Scruggs, was a four-time Grammy winner and was named CMA Musician of the Year three times. He produced artists including Toby Keith, Alison Krauss and Waylon Jennings, and his songs were recorded by artists including Earl Thomas Conley, Sawyer Brown and Deana Carter. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
