I'm Mr. Whiteside: As reported earlier via Breaking News, CMA Chief Marketing Officer Damon Whiteside has been named Academy of Country Music CEO, effective Jan. 6. He succeeds RAC Clark, who filled the post on an interim basis following the departure of Pete Fisher (CAT 5/20). Whiteside will split time between the ACM's Encino, CA office and Nashville.
