Dalai Drama: A drama based on Blake Shelton's "God's Country" is being developed by NBC, where it has a script commitment. Shelton has signed on as executive producer alongside Gary Scott Thompson, Starstruck's Narvel Blackstock and Laurie Pozmantier. In God's Country shares the story of a "hardworking Midwestern farm family" whose patriarch "dies mysteriously in a car accident," leaving his grown children to discover he was keeping "a devastating secret they could never have imagined." The Devin Dawson, Jordan Schmidt and Michael Hardy-penned song was named Single of the Year at the 55th ACM Awards.
