Winner Storm Warning: As reported earlier via Breaking News, this year’s Academy of Country Music Radio Award winners have already received their trophies ahead of Sunday’s (4/18) 56th ACM Awards. While all but one winner in the Personality of the Year categories are first-time recipients – Medium Market winner Buzz Jackson took home the trophy more than a decade ago in 2010 – all of the Station of the Year winners have won before. KNIX/Phoenix is the only double-award winner this year, taking home wins in both Personality and Station. Additionally, Major Market Personality of the Year Lois “Double L” Lewis becomes only the fourth solo female to win an ACM Personality award following Lisa McKay (WQDR/Raleigh, 2014), Valleri St. John (WWGR/Ft. Myers, FL, 2008) and Gwyneth “Dandalion” Seese (WRKZ/Harrisburg, PA, 1989). See the honorees receive their trophies here; full list of winners below:

  • Major Market Personality: Lois Lewis, Double L, KNIX/Phoenix

  • Medium Market Personality: Buzz Jackson, KIIM/Tucson
  • Small Market Personality: Steve Stroud, Ben Walker and Nikki Thomas, Steve, Ben And Nikki, WXBQ/Bristol, VA
  • Major Market Station: KNIX/Phoenix
  • Large Market Station: WQDR/Raleigh
