Chronicle: As reported Saturday via Breaking News, Country Radio Hall of Famer & iHeartMedia KMJX/Little Rock, AR morning host Bob Robbins passed May 21 from a heart attack. He was 78. Born Robert Spears on May 16, 1944, Robbins was heard daily on-air in Arkansas beginning in 1967, when he started his career at Top 40 KAAY/Little Rock. He spent more than 30 years with then-Clear Channel Country KSSN/Little Rock in mornings beginning in 1979 before segueing to KMJX in 2013 (CAT 11/18/13). Robbins was named to the Country Radio Hall of Fame in 2008 (CAT 10/22/07); he shared his story with Country Aircheck here ahead of his induction. Arrangements are currently pending, but in lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations of toys to Rodney’s Cycle House (8120 Doyle Springs Road, Little Rock, AR 72209). See local coverage here.
