Russell Up A Wolf: Cumulus' WSM-FM (The Wolf)/Nashville APD/PM driver Russ Penuell has been named PD, replacing exiting PD/morning host Charley Connolly. Wolf middayer Rick Marino moves to mornings, joining incumbent co-host Deanna Lee. Middays will be voice-tracked by sister Wolf KPLX/Dallas' Smokey Rivers. Penuell (on-air as Russell P.) joined WSM-FM in March of last year from KPLX and has prior stops at WCKT/Fort Myers, WFUS/Tampa and Clear Channel's Shreveport, LA cluster. Marino has been in Nashville radio since 1994 and has worked at WSIX, WKDF, Top 40 WRVW and Soft AC WJXA over that span.
