» Home On The Grainge: London-based Universal Music Group International Chairman/Chief Executive Lucian Grainge is moving to the U.S. to become Chief Executive for Vivendi's Universal Music Group Jan. 1, 2011, following a six-month co-CEO capacity with current head Doug Morris, who will continue as UMG Chairman. A career music industry veteran, Grainge took charge of Universal in the UK in 2001 and was promoted to his most recent post at UMGI in 2005. His background includes executive posts at RCA Music Publishing, MCA Records, PolyGram Music Publishing and Polydor. Grainge will relocate to New York July 1, report to Vivendi CEO Jean-Bernard Levy and will join the company's management board.
 

» Yours Trudie: Former Carolwood South rep Trudie Daniell has joined Nine North as Mgr./SE/SW Promotion. Daniell exited Carolwood when the label shuttered in November, and prior to that worked promotion for CO5/Nashville, Curb, Atlantic and Decca. » Lady's Might: Capitol/Nashville's Lady Antebellum topped the all-genre album chart for a second consecutive week, selling 209,000 copies of Need You Now according to Nielsen SoundScan. Grammy performers seeing a nice sales bump include Taylor Swift (Fearless +58%), Zac Brown Band (The Foundation +82%) and Carrie Underwood (Play On +65%).
 

» Republic Of Texas: The Eli Young Band has joined Republic Nashville, which will release the band's next single "Guinevere" from their Universal Republic/Universal South album Jet Black & Jealous.
 

» Going Green: Greenroom PR Owner Mary Hilliard Harrington is now handling Dierks Bentley's day-to-day management in addition to publicity. Bentley continues as a client of Vector Management. » Baker's 12-String: The 12-string Taylor acoustic guitar Taylor Swift played during last year's We're All For The Hall benefit concert will be auctioned to benefit the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The online bidding starts Saturday (2/13) and runs for 13 days through Feb. 26. » Movin' On: Capitol's Darius Rucker and CMT One Country have partnered to provide media support for First Lady Michelle Obama's Let's Move campaign to encourage families to live more active lives. » Starting Lineup: Redneck/CO5's Gretchen Wilson will perform the National Anthem prior to Sunday's (2/14) NBA All-Star Game. The tipoff is at 8:30pm ET on TNT from Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX.
 



» Slow Hand Juke: MCA's Vince Gill will perform at Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival June 26 at Chicago's Toyota Park. Other artists on the bill include the Allman Brothers Band, ZZ Top, Steve Winwood, B.B. King and Jeff Beck. All profits will benefit the Crossroads Centre in Antigua, a Clapton-founded facility for chemically dependent people. Tickets go on sale Feb. 20 here.
 

» The Ride Stuff: Show Dog-Universal's Toby Keith will embark on his American Ride Tour with guest Trace Adkins June 19 in Holmdel, NJ. Approximately 40-dates are confirmed through September. See the full itinerary here.
