» Saturday Night's Alright: Superadio Network launched Music City Saturday Night on WSIX/Nashville last weekend (2/6), hosted by Buzz Brainard and Storme Warren. Plans are for the five-hour show to be syndicated nationally. Steele Imaging's Dave Steele is voicing the new program and Rusty Walker is consulting. » Just Another Brick In The Wal-Mart: As has been speculated for nearly a year, Wal-Mart and Live Nation Entertainment's Ticketmaster are partnering to begin selling tickets to certain Live Nation concerts and sporting events. Some 500 stores, including outlets in Los Angeles and Chicago, will soon offer the service. More than 200 artists are on LNE's talent roster. Live Nation's stock rose nearly 3% today on the news.
 



» Jackson's Pull: Entravision/Sacramento Production Dir. Tosh Jackson has been named interim PD of Country KNTY. Bob McNeill exited the station last month (CAT 1/15) after three years as PD. Reach Jackson here.
 

» Raisin' Brand: Regent's WGNA/Albany raised $13,427 during its 6th Annual Blue Friday event today (2/12). Proceeds benefit the Capital District chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.).
 

» School-Side Service: The Nashville Alliance for Public Education has named Kix Brooks and former CMA CEO Tammy Genovese its 2010 Distinguished Service Award inductees. Brooks and Genovese will be recognized for their commitment to local public education during the Nashville Public Schools Hall Of Fame ceremony March 2. Details here.
 

» Master Of Their Domain: Following a court ruling this morning (2/12), Nashville's Musician's Hall of Fame and Museum has seven days to vacate its current location. Judge Barbara Haynes ruled Metro Development and Housing Authority can claim the property through eminent domain, making way for the new Music City Center. The MHoF is currently in negotiations with MDHA to finance its relocation. A spokesperson for the MHoF tells Country Aircheck its awards show will take place as planned this fall.
 

» Crib Note: Congratulations to Justin Moore and wife Kate on the birth of their first child Ella Kole. Ella was born yesterday (2/11).
