 Clear Channel's KZSN/Wichita, KS PM driver "Rockin'" Rick Regan is in the middle of a weeklong hunger strike to raise awareness of proposed Kansas state budget cuts that would truncate 220,000 meals annually to seniors.
Regan is limiting himself to one meal from a different senior food provider a day while collecting signatures for his petition opposing the move.
"Our state alone sent more than a million meals to Haiti, which was a beautiful thing," Regan told Country Aircheck.
"But, little old ladies should not be going hungry in Kansas." Regan will deliver the petitions to the legislature prior to their vote Thursday (2/25).
