Ich Bin Ein, Er, Winner! Ask not what Trace Adkins can do for country. Ask what country can do for Adkins' cause! Trace will compete in tonight's Celebrity Apprentice finale for his charity Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN). His competitor, Piers Morgan, is playing for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. Beginning today, fans can donate to each charity by texting the word "Trump" to 30101 for $1 per message. Trace will be performing his current single "You're Gonna Miss This," during the show, and afterwards the performance will be available on iTunes for two weeks. All profits from the track will go directly to FAAN.
Also getting ready for Trace's big day is the staff of KBUL/Reno, NV, which broadcast live today (3/27) from a local Quiznos during the lunch hour and gave away 98 of the Adkins-designed "Cowboy Club" sandwiches. Got a great Celebrity Apprentice promotion or viewing party planned? Send yer pics here and we'll make ya famous!

A Ploy Named Sue: The derailed $19.5 billion buyout of Clear Channel Communications appeared to get one wheel back on the track today after a Texas district court judge granted a temporary restraining order against six investment banks. CC had sued to hold the banks to their funding agreement for the buyout by private equity firms Thomas H. Lee Partners and Bain Capital. The company's stock closed today up $2.68 (+10%) although it's still down from earlier this week. The banks say they're committed to vigorously fighting the lawsuit.
