Divest Of The Story: Beasley's KCYE/Las Vegas is moving to sister Hot AC KFRH's dial position at 102.7 MHz. The company is selling the signal and frequency of KCYE, specific assets of KFRH, along with co-owned Sports/Classic Country (CAT 5/28) KBET-AM, to Ed Stolz's Silver State Communications for $15.25 million. Beasley thus retains three Vegas properties including Classic Hits KKLZ and News/Talk KDWN. Class C KCYE currently operates at 104.3 with 24.5 kw at 3,701 feet AAT; while Class C KFRH has 96 kw at 1,978 feet AAT.

Firma Foundation: Having not met six-month debt covenant targets with lender Citibank, it's been disclosed that EMI investor Terra Firma was required in March to pump an additional $45 million into the music company, above sums already injected last September. Citigroup loaned Terra Firma 2.6 billion in '07 as part of the private-equity takeover. Despite significant revenue increases in 2008, TF wrote off half of the value of that original investment earlier this year.

G Unit: The new non-executive Chairman of the Board at Arbitron is Phil Guarascio, elected to succeed former Chairman/President/CEO Steve Morris, who stepped down Jan. 12. Guarascio, who has served on the ratings firm's board for the past nine years, chaired the nominating and corporate governance committee involved in the hiring of new CEO Michael Skarzynski. Currently Chairman Emeritus of the Ad Council, Gaurascio served 15 years at GM in corporate advertising and marketing.
