Pick Tracy: Warner Bros./Nashville VP/A&R Tracy Gershon has exited the label after more than three years. For the time being, Gershon will serve as a consultant, searching for songs for the label's Nashville roster. After Sept. 1 she can be reached here. Prior to joining Warner Bros., Gershon worked at Sony/Nashville, and she also has an extensive publishing background.

Sweet Sixteen: Arista/Nashville Dir./West Coast Promotion Lori Hartigan has been promoted to Sr. Dir. after 16 years with the label. "Lori's unending drive, passion and attitude have earned her this promotion," says VP/Nat'l Promotion Skip Bishop. "She is a constant force of leadership for our Arista team." While in Nashville this week she received a commemorative plaque for her years with the company (pictured below) from SonyBMG/Nashville Chairman Joe Galante and EVP Butch Waugh, Hartigan, Brad Paisley and Bishop.

Kudos: Cumulus KHAK/Cedar Rapids, IA raised $182,238 during its 12th Annual Children's Miracle Network Radiothon during what PD Bob James calls "a very difficult year in our area." He adds, "Despite the continued flood recovery, the needs of the kids do not go away." KHAK listeners have ponied up $1.5 million over the past 12 years.

Pump Up The Volume: Lyric Street's Rascal Flatts will release Greatest Hits Vol. 1 Oct. 28. The 16-track album will include "What Hurts The Most," "Life Is A Highway," "I'm Movin' On," "These Days" and "Bless the Broken Road." The limited-edition release will include two discs, the second containing three newly recorded Christmas tracks: "White Christmas," "Jingle Bell Rock" and "I'll Be Home For Christmas."

Chronicle: Our condolences to friends and family of drummer Buddy Harman, who passed away yesterday. He was 79. Harman can be heard on more than 18,000 recordings including Roy Orbison's "Pretty Woman," Patsy Cline's "Crazy," Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire" and Tammy Wynette's "Stand By Your Man." He was also the first regular drummer on the Grand Ole Opry.

McHenry was in the studio to make listeners aware of the new Take Back Our Highways campaign, and did his part by ridding the airways of Dingo's nonsense.
