» KMLE Changes: Middays at CBS Radio's KMLE/Phoenix will be voicetracked, and OM/PD Kris Abrams is seeking a new afternoon host. The changes fill the shifts vacated yesterday (10/5) with the exits of MD/middayer Gwen Foster and afternooner Jeff West, as reported in Country Aircheck Weekly. "If you love audience interaction (phones and social media) and have ripped up a liner card or two in your time, this is your gig," Abrams says. Apply online here or via snail mail to Abrams at 840 N. Central Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85004. Meanwhile, 15-plus-year market vet Foster can be reached at 480-495-2209 or here, and West can be reached at 480-399-9330 or here. West had been with the station more than 14 years and Foster joined just over two years ago.

» Trophy Life: The nominating process for the CRB-Country Aircheck awards recognizing excellence in Country radio and the music industry begins Oct. 20 at www.crbawards.com. Visitors can write in up to five nominees in each category, with final nominees announced Jan. 4, 2010 and winners honored at the CRS-41 New Faces Show. » Kids Rocked: Kudos to KFRG/Riverside for raising more than $366,000 during the eighth annual Statler Bros. Charities K-Froggers For Kids Radiothon Sept. 29-30. Funds benefit pediatric cancer patients at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital. A "My First Bike" promotion sent $200 donations to the hospital and a bicycle to an underprivileged fourth-grader; more than 1,100 bikes will be presented to kids at a Nov. 8 event. The radiothon's eight-year total now tops $3.1 million.

» Call Me Crazy: MCA's Lee Ann Womack has launched her free fan club, The Lee Ann Womack Country Music Appreciation Society And Social Club. "I had a fan club when I first started, and then I quit having it because I never felt comfortable taking money from people to be a fan," Womack says. "It's totally free, but you have to agree to my rules, which I think are pretty funny." For example, members "must promise to try and never fail to mention how hot Womack's shoes are, either in person, at an event or on the comments page." Join here.

» I Can See For Miles And Miles And Miles: Nashville's Miles & Music For Kids motorcycle charity ride hosted by Dierks Bentley has added 3 Doors Down's Brad Arnold and Chris Henderson to the lineup of performers. They join previously announced Darius Rucker, Eric Church, Wynonna, Michelle Branch and Heidi Newfield for the Sunday (10/11) event. Details here.

Risky Lullaby: Arista's Brad Paisley met with the KNIX/Phoenix 6+ crowd prior to last week's show. The kids were featured in the "Welcome To The Future" video roll during the concert. Someone apparently needs to remind Paisley not to follow kids or animals.
