Big Start:

"All I ask of you for the next two to three hours is to live in the moment." Those were among the first words Blue Chair/Columbia's Kenny Chesney said last night (3/26) 25 minutes into the first show of The Big Revival Tour in Nashville. A pseudo-voodoo New Orleans-style funeral procession opening video played on a massive curtain wrapping the stage ... even featuring Chesney in ghostlike face paint. That curtain came down to "Drink It Up," the first of 36 songs in the three-hour tour. An expansive, sleek set and four brilliantly high-definition screens (more pixels than the famed screen at Cowboys Stadium) kept the focus on the music and on Chesney's energetic performance. Surprise guests for the show, which happened to fall on Chesney's 47th birthday, included Taylor Swift, Uncle Kracker, David Lee Murphy and Joe Walsh. Grace Potter joined for "Wild Child" and "You And Tequila." During Chesney's performance of "Big Star" with Swift, the two brought a little girl onstage to sing with them. Watch here. Tonight's (3/27) second show in the 55-date run, also in Nashville, gives way to Columbia, SC (3/28), Las Vegas (4/3-4) and Greenville, SC (4/8).
