Buy For A Song: Concord Music Group has purchased the Vanguard and Sugar Hill labels from Welk Music Group. The company already owns Rounder and the combined roster will include Lee Ann Womack and Blackberry Smoke, among others. Welk President Kevin Welk will stay on as Chief Creative for both labels. Sugar Hill GM Cliff O'Sullivan will be Rounder COO, reporting to group President John Virant. More here. Grapes are unaffected by the merger.
