Chronicle: Our condolences to the family and friends of singer Lynn Anderson, who died last night (7/30) following a heart attack. She was 67. Anderson's signature song was the 1970 country and pop crossover "(I Never Promised You A) Rose Garden." Other No. 1s included "You're My Man," "How Can I Unlove You" and "Keep Me In Mind." She went to No. 2 with "Top Of The World," later covered by The Carpenters. Anderson's awards included ACM Female Vocalist in 1967 and 1970; CMA Female Vocalist in 1971; and a Grammy for Best Female Country Vocal Performance in 1971. Funeral services will be held at Nashville's Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park. Service details are pending.
