Pellegrini Retires: Times & News WGTY/York, PA afternoon host Paesan Pellegrini has retired after more than two decades with the station. "Paesan's dedication, work ethic and drive helped to lay the foundation of what we've become today," says OM/PD Scott Donato. "Though we'll miss him, we're happy that after almost 40 years in radio – 26 of them at WGTY – he'll get a much deserved break." Pellegrini started at 'GTY in 1989 and has also served as PD and morning host. He moved to afternoons in 2004. Succeeding him is current middayer Chase Matthews. Evening and former midday talent Dan Douglas returns to that daypart and weekender Max Stevens moves to evenings. Adds Donato, "While losing Paesan [leaves us with] a huge hole to fill, we feel like we've already got the necessary parts in house to take us into the next phase of WGTY."
