Family Tradition: Luke Bryan was excited "because I know Blake Shelton isn't going to come up and rush me off." Later he added, "In this room, it's family." And so it was at the 9th Annual ACM Honors at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium last night (9/1). Bryan was one of the evening's honorees, earning the Gene Weed Special Achievement Award. Alabama's Career Achievement Award came with a medley of their hits from Jason Aldean. Crystal Milestone honoree Loretta Lynn was celebrated by Miranda Lambert's performance of "Rated X." Roy Clark's haunting performance of "Yesterday When I Was Young" was particularly moving and good fodder for honoree Barry Adelman, who brought the house down noting he hoped to "feel young" again later in the evening with his wife. See a full list of honorees here and details on the performances here.
