Chronicle: Our condolences to the family and friends of former station owner and executive George Sosson, who died Monday (7/25) after battling cancer. He was 70. Sosson served as VP/GM for stations including KRQR/San Francisco and for many years served as VP of CBS Radio's FM stations. He formed Radio Equity Partners in the early '90s, which he later sold to Clear Channel. Sosson stayed with the company as SVP/Operations for four years (1996-2000). More here.
