Journey Men: Charlie Daniels' non-profit The Journey Home Project has partnered with the Shepherd's Men, a 17-member team of active and former servicemen and civilian patriots raising funds and awareness for the Share Military Initiative at Shepherd Center in Atlanta. During the annual Shepherd's Men Run, team members run 22 kilometers each day wearing 22-lb. flak vests to bring awareness to the 22 veterans who commit suicide every day. The event began Monday (5/24) and runners will go through Mt. Juliet, TN and Nashville Friday (5/26) and Saturday (5/27). More on the event here; more on The Journey Home Project here.
