Life Notes: Warner/WMN Mgr./Southwest Radio & Streaming Mark Niederhauser is mourning the passing of his mother, Nancy, who died Dec. 3. “Monday morning, she had a massive brain bleed and, until Friday morning, her vitals held steady,” shares Niederhauser via Facebook. “Then she passed away peacefully, with no pain or suffering. She never regained consciousness.” Services will be held Dec. 8 at 1pm CT at Hutton McElwain Funeral Home (301 North Rubey Street, Macon, MO 63552). Extend condolences here.
Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum Sr. Dir., Producer & Writer Peter Cooper sustained a head injury over the weekend that was initially thought to be life threatening. Per updates from Cooper’s family, he has continued to make improvements in the past 48 hours but was still listed in critical condition yesterday (12/4). “We are happy to report that Peter’s condition continues to improve, and his doctors continue to be surprised by these positive changes,” family members share via Cooper’s Facebook page here. “We continue to request space and privacy for him to heal. There is still a long road ahead.” Cooper joined CMHoF in 2014 from the Tennessean and is also a producer, recording musician and has served as Sr. Lecturer in country music at Vanderbilt University’s Blair School of Music. He has also hosted CMHoF’s Voices In The Hall podcast.
