» Vital Morgan's: Indianapolis Motor Speedway Productions and Radio Network Pres./COO Charlie Morgan has been named Emmis VP/Market Manager for the company's Indianapolis cluster, which includes Country WLHK. He succeeds the late Tom Severino, who succumbed to lung cancer in July (CAT 7/6). Morgan previously spent more than 20 years with crosstown Susquehanna, now Cumulus, working his way up from personality to PD, OM and eventually VP/MM, which included oversight of Country WFMS. He starts Sept. 14.

» Changes At KSD: Clear Channel's KSD/St. Louis morning co-host/middayer Jill Devine has taken over mornings following the July departure of AM driver Craig Cornett. PD/PM driver Billy Greenwood moves to middays and seeks an afternoon host. » Switch On: Beasley's KCYE/Las Vegas made the switch to 102.7 from 104.3 yesterday (8/25) at 3:01pm PT. As we told you in May (CAT 5/29), the station's signal and frequency were among the company's assets sold to Ed Stolz's Silver State Communications.

» PD/Mornings Open At WWNU: Double O/Columbia, SC GM Chuck McKay is seeking a PD and morning show for Country WWNU, following Monday's (8/24) exit of OM/PD/morning co-host Tyler Ryan and co-host Ken Heron. » Love Is A Many Tendered Thing: Congrats to Reba and the Valory Music Co. team on the No. 1 overall sales debut of Keep On Loving You, with 96,000 copies sold. It surpasses George Strait's Twang, which is in its second week out, by nearly 35,000 units. This is Reba's first album to reach the top all-genre position, and establishes her as the female artist with the most career No. 1 country albums.

» Senior High: Former RCA Dir./Media Lori Genes joined Capitol/Nashville as Sr. Dir./Media & Public Relations Monday (8/24). She succeeds Dir./Publicity Judy McDonough, who left the company in July (CAT 7/27). Genes exited Sony/Nashville in January, along with four other staffers (CAT 1/22).

» Vocal Wrest: "After the last 24 hours, I officially have nothing left to say." That was the final word from Jack Ingram after setting the Guinness World Record for "Most Consecutive Radio Interviews In 24 Hours," an effort that started yesterday and wrapped this morning (8/26). After 215 calls spanning 50 states and four countries, Ingram concluded the marathon with a performance of his single "Barefoot & Crazy" on FOX & Friends.
