Proud Mary: New Cumulus CEO Mary Berner made a three-stop, whirlwind visit to Nashville today (10/15). Sandwiched between gatherings at the Nash campus and the Cumulus cluster of stations that includes Nash WKDF & Nash Icon WSM-FM, she even managed to squeeze in a 15-minute chat with Pearl/RCA's Garth Brooks.

Reports from the company meetings indicate she echoed the comments made on Tuesday's conference call (CAT 10/13), during which she expressed her support for Cumulus' Country intitiatives and the Nash brand while promising increased lines of communication within the company. She also reiterated her belief that "Progamming is the oxygen of Cumulus."  Berner personally initiated the impromptu meeting with Brooks, reportedly looking to clear up some issues between the G-man and Cumulus and aiming for a fresh start.
