Chronicle: MARC Classic Country WPLL/Gainesville, FL morning host Heather Jennings was killed in a head-on automobile collision yesterday (12/3) on her way to work. She was 57. MARC issued a statement, saying in part, "We knew something was very wrong at 6am when patriotic Heather wasn’t standing at her mic, hand over her heart, proudly leading her audience in the Pledge of Allegiance [...] We’re still grappling with the reality of that news, fervently praying for her two daughters, Dixie and Jacy, whom she loved beyond measure." Jennings started at the station last month (CAT 11/8). She previously spent five years at WXCZ & WXZC/Cedar Key, FL. No word on services.
