Nielsen Edison The Record Q1 2025

Ear To Date: Nielsen Audio and Edison Research's quarterly analysis of audio consumption, The Record, shows within ad supported audio in Q1, 66% of time was spent with radio (off 1% from Q4), 19% with podcasts (+1%), 12% with streaming audio and 3% with satellite radio. Among 18-34s, it's 47% radio, 32% podcasts and 20% streaming, while for 25-54s it's 61% radio, 24% podcasts and 13% streaming. Breaking out radio listening by format, Country placed third with a 5.8 share of Persons 18+; in 18-34 it had a 7.6 and a 5.8 in 25-54. In streaming only, Country fell to a 4.7 share.
