Cyclone Home: Murfin Media KVWF/Wichita "My Country 100.5" re-launched as '90s-based "100.5 The Twister" today (5/2) at noon CT. The station first re-launched with a mainstream, Red Dirt and Classic Country mix last June (CAT 6/29/23) under Group PD Colby Ericson, who departed last month (CAT 4/2). KVWF also carried a Country format from 2008 to 2017, first as "The Wolf" and later as "Hank FM."

Taking over as PD and morning host is Dan Holiday, who worked at crosstown KZSN from 1992 to 2004, followed by seven years at KFKF/Kansas City (CAT 3/11/11). He will handle the job remotedly from Kansas City, while continuing to operate his Storm Report Radio Network. Middays will be hosted by Carol Hughes, who hosted the same shift on crosstown KFDI from 2000 to 2020 (CAT 6/5/20). Becca Walls, who remains a part of syndicated Broadway & Friends, will handle afternoons remotely. Holiday tells Country Aircheck, "It's a privilege to work in country music again." Reach him here. In the February Nielsen survey, in which the market's five rated Country stations had 20.5 total shares, KVWF had a 0.4 share. Stream here.
