On The Clock: Three months after calling a "time out" on their relationship with TikTok (CAT 1/31), Universal Music Group and Universal Music Publishing Group are returning their music to the platform after striking a licensing agreement. In pulling its content, UMG had complained that TikTok "insists on paying our songwriters at a fraction of the rate that similarly situated major social media platforms pay – and without any material increase from our prior agreement."
