Buc Starts Here: As reported Friday evening via Twitter and Facebook, Clear Channel's Rhythmic Top 40 KRPT has split its simulcast of the 105.7 and 92.5 frequencies, flipping the latter to Classic Country as K-BUC, "San Antonio's Classic Country Station." Travis Moon of CC's market-leading Country sister KAJA will oversee K-BUC, saying, "San Antonio is serious about its Country music and now we have two great stations to expose the music to the city." KAJA morning personality Randy Carroll will be the imaging voice of K-BUC, which will focus on music from the '70s, '80s and '90s, provided by CC's Premium Choice Classic Country format. PC jocks TJ Phillips, Bob Pickett and Tom Travis will host 6am-noon, noon-6pm and 6pm-midnight respectively. K-BUC will be the market's fourth Country outlet, joining KJ and Cox's crosstown combo of mainstream Country KCYY and Classic Country KKYX-AM, the latter of which increased 0.8-1.3 in the just-released January PPMs.
