Shannon Retiring: Clarity Classic Country WLXO/Lexington, KY morning host Karl Shannon is retiring after four years with the station, 30 in the market and 47 in the business. His career stops span multiple formats at stations including WLXX/Lexington, WBUL/Lexington, WAKY/Louisville and WSM/Nashville. He came to Lexington in 1988. Shannon's car show show events have become a staple in the community over the years, raising money for charities including St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Kentucky Children's Hospital, Children's Charities of the Bluegrass, Thomson Hood Veteran's Center and Friends of Waveland.
