Tim & Willy Leave KMLE:
As we reported first via Twitter and Facebook, CBS Radio's KMLE/Phoenix and morning duo Tim Hattrick and Willy D Loon have parted ways. Their final show was today (7/26). With the exception of a one-year stint in Chicago during the mid-'90s, the pair have spent the past 20 years in Phoenix, beginning with KMLE in 1993. Following a 10-year run with Clear Channel's crosstown competitor KNIX, they rejoined KMLE in January '08. Reach them here. "Tim and Willy are Arizona Broadcast Association Hall of Famers," CBS Radio/Phoenix Market Manager Tim Pohlman tells Country Aircheck. "It has been a privilege and honor to work with them. I thank them for all they've done for KMLE Country 108 and wish them nothing but the best." He adds, "I am extremely excited and am lookinging forward to [KMLE PD] Jeff Garrison's announcement as to what's next in mornings on KMLE." The search is officially on for the station's new wake-up show; airchecks and resumes to Garrison here. No word yet on interim plans for KMLE mornings.
