Ford Exits KYGO:
As reported earlier via Twitter and Facebook, Lincoln Financial's KYGO/Denver morning personality Kelly Ford bid an emotional farewell to listeners this morning, announcing that today's show would be her last. Ford called the decision mutual and quoted Montgomery Gentry in calling her time there "something to be proud of." Listen to her final break here.
Ford has been a mainstay on KYGO mornings since 1990, working through six different iterations of the show and earning three CMA Major Market Personality of the Year trophies as well as the ACM's 2012 Major Market Personality award. Reach Ford here. She had been handling the show alone following the July exit of Rider (CAT 7/16). KYGO PD John Thomas tells Country Aircheck middayer Alisha Scott will handle mornings while a search for a new show is conducted. Airchecks and resumes here.
