UMG/Nashville Changes:
Executive staff changes expected following the UMG acquisition of EMI (CAT 9/28) have come to Nashville, as UMG/Nashville EVP/GM Ken Robold and SVP/Media & Artist Relations Beverly Keel will be leaving the company. Further changes are expected, though no timeline has been set and no one will comment officially. The moves would seem to point to Capitol & EMI Nashville COO Tom Becci moving into the combined labels' No. 2 role, working under UMG/Nashville Chairman/CEO Mike Dungan. Similarly, Capitol & EMI Nashville Sr. Dir./Media & Public Relations Lori Genes Christian would appear to be in line to run that function for the combined Nashville operation. Keel, an accomplished journalist and professor in Middle Tennessee State's Recording Industry program, joined UMGN in 2010; reach her at 615-310-5602 or here. Robold's extensive label experience within the Universal tree includes Polygram Records and Polygram Distribution. He was named to his most recent post in 2004; reach him at 615-438-7590 or here.
