Jeff's Bridges:
As reported earlier via Twitter and Facebook, Cox Media Group/San Antonio OM & KCYY PD Jeff Garrison has added format leader duties for the company's six Country stations which, in addition to KCYY, include KKBQ/Houston, WWKA/Orlando, WHKO/Dayton, KWEN/Tulsa and WNGC/Athens, GA. "I've known Jeff for 25 years, and I'm delighted that CMG can tap this Country radio veteran programmer who has tremendous results," says CMG VP/Radio Programming Steve Smith. "During his short time with CMG San Antonio, he has taken Y100 from seventh in the market to second with listeners 25 to 54, and we're a hair away from being No. 1." Garrison's career includes 17 years with CBS Radio, where he programmed KMLE/Phoenix and KILT/Houston. He also served as the company's VP/Country. Reach him here.
