Orr To Leave WZZK:
SummitMedia's WZZK/Birmingham PD Paul Orr will step down in December to focus on his voiceover business, and to accommodate his wife Summer, who has taken a job closer to her home of Sevierville, TN. Orr joined 'ZZK in March of last year (CAT 3/20/12). "We love SummitMedia and Birmingham, which made this a tough decision," says Orr. "In the end, the call of home was too loud not to answer and we're thrilled to return to the Smokies. All things considered, this is one of the best Country programming gigs anywhere – excellent everything. Trust me on this and send your stuff now! Thanks to [EVP/COO] David Dubose, who is the best." The search is on for Orr's successor; airchecks and resumes here.
