Feels Like Georgia-lina:
Clear Channel's Classic Rock WEKL/Augusta, GA flipped to Country Friday (11/8) as "Georgia-lina's New Country G105.7" with new calls WSCG. "There is an unmistakable connection between the listeners here in Georgia-Lina and the music coming out of Nashville," says OM Travis Dylan. "The fact that Lady Antebellum is from Augusta and Darius Rucker is from right up the road, as well as a slew of other up-and-coming artists that are shaping the sound of new country music says it all." Dylan says the station is running commercial free and jockless, and a call letter change and hiring a new staff will happen soon. The flips gives the market's WXKC a competitor; listen here.
