NOLA Gets Nash: Cumulus flipped Alternative WRKN/New Orleans to Country as "Nash FM 92.3" this morning at 9:23am. The station is licensed to LaPlace, LA, operates at 100kw at 1,945 feet and puts a signal into both New Orleans and Baton Rouge. The transmitter is in Vacherie, LA, about 50 miles from both NOLA and Baton Rouge. WRKN flipped from Hot AC WDVW to Rock in July 2010. The move pits the new Nash FM against Clear Channel Country WNOE which posted a 5.8 in the Fall 2013 Nielsen Audio ratings, good for fourth place among subscribers.

There's no PD as of now; those interested in the job should send resumes to Cumulusradio.jobs@cumulus.com and put NOLA in the subject line. No other programming details at this point, but it's believed that the station will air Nash Nights Live when it makes its national debut tonight. More details in this afternoon's Country Aircheck Today.
