Baby Likes To Rocket:
Former Curb promotion exec Eric Mellencamp is returning to the country market as his company Rocket Tone Records launches "Country Pride," the debut country single from Grammy-winning producer Buck 22. The multi-genre Rocket Tone launched seven months ago with Ian Mellencamp, Eric's cousin, whose music was worked to college radio. The Rocket Tone team behind the country release includes COO Johnny Bennett and VP/Promotion Audra Briner. Buck 22, the son of actor/jazz drummer Bill Elliott and Dionne Warwick, has produced and/or worked with artists including Keyshia Cole, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Beyoncé, Pink, Gwen Stefani, Deana Carter and more. Owner/President/CEO Mellencamp says, "Buck grew up next to John Denver and went to military school in Virginia. He's as country as country can be." The single impacts April 14. Reach Mellencamp here.
