Steel Of A Deal: Wilks Broadcasting will sell its four Kansas City stations, including Country KFKF and KBEQ, to Pittsburgh-based Steel City Media. "We think Steel City is a great owner for these assets as an entrepreneurial, family-owned and operated business, which is not dissimilar to the culture at Wilks," says CEO Jeff Wilks. "We continue to look for compelling opportunities to create value in our business whether we are considering buying or selling radio assets in addition to focusing on strong operating performance across all of our market clusters." Sources in the building say the sale is expected to close in 60-90 days. Steel City has two stations in Pittsburgh – AC WLTJ and Adult Hits WRRK.
