Cumulus Launches Nash Icon: Cumulus has flipped Country Christian hybrid WWWQ-HD2/Atlanta and its 250W FM translator W255CJ and Sports WZAT/Savannah, GA to Country as "Nash Icon 98.9" and Nash Icon 102.1," respectively. The stations are among the first to adopt the brand since it was initially announced in May (Breaking News 5/13). Listen here and here.

Hot Air: No one is commenting officially, but this appears to be the beginning of a national roll-out of the Nash Icon format that may well include WSM-FM/Nashville later today (8/15). Cumulus' WKDF is already branded as a "Nash" outlet. Another flip candidate is Cumulus Top 40 WZRR/Birmingham, currently teasing a 3pm CT change using "Coming soon, another icon" verbiage, while playing Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama" and Kid Rock's "All Summer Long" on a loop. Listen here. Look for more this afternoon in Country Aircheck Today (8/15).
