Mo Like It:
Mel Wheeler WSLC/Roanoke, VA afternoon personality Brian Mo will join Aloha Station Trust's WFRE/Frederick, MD in the same capacity Sept. 8. He'll succeed Dave Conrad, who will return to the show's co-host/traffic position, which is being vacated by Paula Young. She's leaving after six months (CAT 2/10) to pursue other opportunities. "Paula was only with us for a brief time but she and Dave Conrad helped us rebrand our afternoon drive as the Free Country Free Ride," says PD Don Brake. "The response to more music and more traffic updates for our commuters has been amazing ... [and] I'm excited to add a dynamic talent like Brian Mo to our staff."
The move marks a reunion for Mo and Brake, who worked together a decade ago in Hagerstown, MD. Mo had been with 'SLC since late 2010. Reach him here. Meanwhile, WSLC OM/PD Brett Sharp is searching for Mo's replacement (CAT 8/28). Airchecks and resumes to Dir./HR Cheryl Skinner here.
