Money's Worth: iHeartMedia has reported a $50 million loss for Q4 2014 and a $762 million loss for the whole of 2014, compared with $302 million and $584 million the year prior, respectively. The company attributes the yearly loss to higher interest and tax expenses resulting from a valuation allowance required in the current year and a gain on sale of marketable securities in 2013. Revenues for Q4 and 2014 were $1.8 billion and $6.3 billion, respectively. More here. In related news, iHeartMedia is privately offering $550 million in Priority Guarantee Notes due in 2023, and will use the proceeds to prepay outstanding loans. The notes will be offered only to "qualified institutional buyers" and those outside the U.S.

Also, iHeartMedia President/CFO Richard Bressler has added the title of COO. "In the last year we have made incredible strides, and Rich has played an important role in operations and finance, as well as strategy, for all of iHeartMedia, Inc.," says Chairman/CEO Bob Pittman. "We're delighted to recognize his contributions by adding this title, which better reflects the impact he has made and will continue to make."
