Chunky's Town: Former CBS Radio WDRW/Philadelphia morning host Chunky Jackson will join Alpha KUPL/Portland's Jake Byron and McKinzie Roth in mornings Monday (5/11). His prior stops include Top 40 WNKS/Charlotte and WKQI/Detroit. "Chunky is a funny, entertaining, witty talent with a passion for country music who loves everything the Northwest has to offer," says EVP/Programming Scott Mahalick. "His energy and charismatic personality is a formula for success and we can't wait to see him take the bull by the horns." Roth joined in January (CAT 1/26) ahead of the departure of former co-host Monica Lunsford, who left in March for KILT/Houston (CAT 3/5). Co-host Howie Drummond came off air Thursday (4/30) but remains with company in an unnamed capacity. Concurrrently, KUPL night personality Matt Sparx has exited after a year (CAT 4/4/14) and is looking for his next opportunity. Reach him here. Sister Top 40 KBFF middayer Bryan Laroche is covering the shift.
