Tune Over Georgia: Cox has begun simulcasting WNGC/Athens, GA on formerly Alternative WTSH/Rome, GA (CAT 6/24/14). Collectively known as "Your Georgia Country 106.1 and 107.1," the simulcast serves Northern Atlanta, Athens, Rome "and all areas north across the entire state," the company says. WTSH spent 25 years in the Country format before last summer's flip. "Country is the hottest format right now and was our greatest opportunity in our No. 1 market," says Cox/Atlanta VP/GM Donna Hall. "We're now thrilled to bring another exciting choice for country in Atlanta and north Georgia that complements the other great CMG radio brands in the Greater Atlanta area." Both stations are 100kW Class C1s. No word on who's handling programming.
