Re-Vampshire: As tipped last week (CAT 7/1), Townsquare's WPKQ/Concord, NH has ended its 20-year simulcast of sister Country WOKQ/Portsmouth, NH and become a standalone Country as "103.7 The Peak." The new station has positioned itself as "Maine and New Hampshire's New Country Station" and is operating from the company's Portland, ME studios. Sun's The Fitz Show fills mornings; WOKQ morning talent Roy Sullivan has added 'PKQ middays; former WPOR/Portland, ME talent Annie Snook handles afternoons and Townsquare's Taste Of Country Nights with Sam Alex airs from 7pm-12am. Townsquare Regional OM and Sister Rock WBLM/Portland morning personality Herb Ivy is handling programming. WPKQ is a 21.5kW Class C and will compete in Portland with Saga's WPOR and Binnie's WTHT, which posted a 5.1 in Nielsen Audio's Fall 2014 diary survey. WPOR no longer subscribes.
