Roach Exits WDSY:
CBS Radio WDSY/Pittsburgh morning co-host and 42-year market vet Jimmy Roach is among those affected by the company's nationwide workforce reduction reported on for the first time more than a week ago (CAT 7/14). Roach joined 'DSY and co-host Brian "Monty" Montgomery for a second run in 2012 from crosstown Keymarket WOGI (CAT 3/28/12). In a Country Aircheck market profile early last year, OM/PD Mark Anderson cited the reunion as a major reason for the station's growth to that point (read here). Roach first worked with Montgomery at 'DSY for much of the '90s. He's been heard on multiple formats in the area. Reach him here. Share news of those affected by the layoffs here.
