The show attracted 5.19 million viewers (1.2 rating/4 share), down from last year's 7.2 million (1.8/6). CMA placed second in its timeslot and, according to the CMA, delivered ABC's strongest non-sports Tuesday this summer. It was also Tuesday's "most social" television program with 60,550 tweets.
