Night Flight: CBS Radio KMLE/Phoenix evening talent Kimmie Caruba has joined the company's WUSN/Chicago in the same capacity, replacing Joel "Jax" Lisinski, who recently exited along with other staffers earlier this month (CAT 8/3). She starts Aug. 29. Concurrently, middayer Drew Walker has signed a contract extension. The moves also follow brand changes including a new logo and the updated positioner "Chicago's Hottest Country" (CAT 8/8). "Kimmie is a born and raised Chicagoan who grew up listening to US99," notes VP/Country Programming and 'USN PD Jeff Kapugi. "She's a very dynamic personality who brings a hot, fresh and interactive approach to nighttime radio in Chicago. And with US99 veteran Drew Walker as our midday anchor, I know the station will sound great and our listeners will continue to engage with us on-air, online and on their devices." Plans for the position in Phoenix are pending.
