Williams Up In Warner Restructuring: Warner Music Nashville, home to the WMN, WAR and WEA promotion teams, has unveiled what it calls "a new future-facing structure" for marketing and promotion. Leading the newly-created Radio & Streaming team will be WMN VP/Promotion Kristen Williams, who is promoted to SVP/Radio & Streaming. In that role she will head the three teams that will work with radio, interactive radio, ad-supported streaming and subscription streaming.

WAR VP/Promotion Chris Palmer rises to VP/Radio & Streaming, overseeing the three teams' National Directors and Managers. In essence, the roles for everyone on what were the promotion teams expand to include streaming entities, and the word "promotion" is replaced by "Radio & Streaming." As part of the realignment, WMN VP/Radio Radio Marketing & Promotion Chad Schultz rises to VP/Original Content.

Exiting WMN are SVP/Promotion Kevin Herring, a four-year label vet who was promoted to SVP in early 2014 (Breaking News 2/4/14) and WEA VP/Promotion Jordan Pettit, who joined WMN five years ago (CAT 10/12/2011) and was named VP of WEA when it launched (Breaking News 5/28/14).

"We are positioning ourselves for new opportunities as the lines between marketing and commerce, as well as radio and streaming, continue to blur," said WMN Chairman John Esposito. He told Country Aircheck, "This is not a downsizing, it's a restructuring to align WMN for the future and apply our resources to where the industry is going. Our commitment to artist development means we never stop improving our approach and developing our team. We want to help artists create change, not merely embrace it."

Concurrently, VP/Brand Management Lisa Ray will oversee an expanded department that will now include digital. Brooke Hardesty is named Dir./Interactive Marketing while new team members include Ashlee McDonald as Sr. Dir./Brand Management and Jeremy Gold as Mgr./Interactive Marketing.

Both Williams and Ray will report to WMN Chief Marketing Officer Peter Strickland. Reach Williams here, Palmer here, Schultz here and Ray here.
